As for my next game, I'm planning to add some point and click elements this time so it'll probably take me quite a bit longer to finish than my first game. The story will be set in a hospital!

Thank you so much for leaving such a thoughtful analysis 😭 I completely understand why you felt a little disappointed that "the player" didn’t show much affection toward Haru. I also struggled quite a bit with finding the right balance between the horror and romance elements, since, after all, this is also supposed to be a romance game haha.

I wanted to portray the player as someone who also goes through a psychological development throughout the story, from fear and suspicion, to either hatred or sympathy toward Haru (depending on which ending you reach).

I also really loved the way you analyzed Haru’s words and experiences. This really is a love story between two people with fundamentally different values and worldviews. I don’t think the ending necessarily needs to provide definite answers to all the questions raised throughout the game. Rather than giving players an answer, I wanted to leave them with something to think about and imagine for themselves.

Anyway, thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback <33 I honestly never expected the game to reach this many people, which is why I originally made it so short. For my next game, I’ll try to explore these kinds of things much more deeply!

I really tried my best to portray someone who was pushed into such a difficult situation that they eventually lost themselves. It’s a situation where neither Haru nor "I" can really be blamed. In the short story, I wanted to show a different side of Haru as a little reward for those who were patient enough to stay with the game until the very end.Thank you again for supporting me 🫶🫶
