[SPOILERS BELOW]
Okay you asked for thoughts, but honestly I'm not sure how I feel about this??? other than it was a RIDE, and nothing could've prepared me for the way things escalated later in the story (yes, i skipped the content warnings, how did you know?). I low-key expected the game to go wattpad-fanfic route, but it's probably better that it didn't? As in, I might've liked that more because Narcisse was kinda relatable in the beginning and it would've felt nice and heart-warming if he could've figured out there was nothing wrong with him through the power of love and yaoi (TM) but I GUESS THIS IS MORE REALISTIC?? as weird as it sounds lol that of the two unlikely outcomes, the psycho self-destruction route feels more plausible lol
But as you said in the afterword, you took this idea of a character thinking there was something wrong with him and pushed it to the limit to explore what would happen, and i think you succeeded in that (to my growing discomfort and frustration lol) (but i still enjoyed (for the lack of a better word?) watching the train wreck happen so at least that's something?)
I really liked the visuals, tho! The black and white with only bits of color when needed was very effective in my opinion. It kinda adds to the whole 'fever-dream' kind of vibe of the story and connects nicely with the title (at least in my mind).
(I'm sorry if this is a weird comment that doesn't contribute to the conversation, but this is kinda how i felt playing the game so 🙃)
