[SPOILERS BELOW]

Okay you asked for thoughts, but honestly I'm not sure how I feel about this??? other than it was a RIDE, and nothing could've prepared me for the way things escalated later in the story (yes, i skipped the content warnings, how did you know?). I low-key expected the game to go wattpad-fanfic route, but it's probably better that it didn't? As in, I might've liked that more because Narcisse was kinda relatable in the beginning and it would've felt nice and heart-warming if he could've figured out there was nothing wrong with him through the power of love and yaoi (TM) but I GUESS THIS IS MORE REALISTIC?? as weird as it sounds lol that of the two unlikely outcomes, the psycho self-destruction route feels more plausible lol

But as you said in the afterword, you took this idea of a character thinking there was something wrong with him and pushed it to the limit to explore what would happen, and i think you succeeded in that (to my growing discomfort and frustration lol) (but i still enjoyed (for the lack of a better word?) watching the train wreck happen so at least that's something?)

I really liked the visuals, tho! The black and white with only bits of color when needed was very effective in my opinion. It kinda adds to the whole 'fever-dream' kind of vibe of the story and connects nicely with the title (at least in my mind).

(I'm sorry if this is a weird comment that doesn't contribute to the conversation, but this is kinda how i felt playing the game so 🙃)

(SPOILERS)

Don't worry, your thoughts were very interesting to read! Honestly, I put content warnings because, you know, to avoid needlessly traumatising a player, but I think that nuit blanche; is the kind of game that is better experienced blind anyway loool, so I'm very happy you got to experience it that way! And honestly, yes, Lewis is kind of a relatable character with relatable struggles at the start of the game, but then, he indeed becomes much more... erm... him, I guess!

And honestly, I don't know if the outcome I picked is the most realistic, but I knew from the start, back in 2021, that the game would end up with Lewis doing what he ultimately does while listening to Gabriel singing the national anthem (that's because of my first solo VN, Order me!, since nuit blanche; was conceived in relation to it, and the first scene of Order me! is Gabriel singing that anthem lol... which Gabriel also does in A Beef with the Chimichurri Steak actually...); a positive outcome would have been sweet, but honestly, it was never conceived for Lewis... but the good news, at least, is that I certainly wouldn't be able to write anything worse than this one loool

And thanks! The game was indeed quite a fever dream to write, and I can't imagine how it must be like to go into it completely blind looool, so I'm glad the art direction helped with that!! Thanks a lot for your feedback, Hiro, I appreciate it!!
