there's a rendering thing that got implemented ONLY on 3.1 and 3.1.1, and it prevents me from playing the game (apparently it's some sort of Vulkan thing, or some driver/createdevice issue..)
probably you can't. Not without making your computer able to use Vulkan (whatever that is), though you can use the console variant (by console, i mean the one that displays a cmd window) to see what exactly is making things not work
but if you (and i) don't want to deal with that, then you (and i) can't play 3.1+
I don't know much about technology, but ever since I've gotten a Linux OS, I've been hearing more about Vulkan and it getting processed around.
Maybe it could do something with the OS? A wild guess I know, but maybe looking at compatibilities and finding the right emulator to run Vulkan could help.
Again this is a wild guess, but it wouldn't hurt looking into it tbh. I wish I could help more tho but I hope this gives some chance to find a solution.
