We tried again, We were three this time. A cool Warhammer Scenario called the madmen of Gotheim. A scenario with a timer, where you cannot rest.  I used the rules better, and we had fun, but we finished with nearly no score left... So the last scene was really full of suspense and tension. Thanks a lot.

That's awesome, Max! I'm glad you guys had fun — and thanks for the feedback. ^^

Did you use Effort just for tests, or did you also use it to establish facts? I'm curious how that would work with a pre-written adventure.

They used it for test a lot, i used it once to establish facts and to have a grappling hook in the carriage (it was a minor fact). Nobody tried the "prophecy" stuff... (which is an interesting mechanic anyway)

I used a house  rule of "if you spend some effort on a perception test about something, i tell you what there is to know about the thing you ask, no roll needed..."

Cool. Maybe it's worth reminding players at the start and around the middle of the session that they can establish facts, especially if they're not used to that kind of mechanic.

Good call on Perception. ^^
