Interesting idea! I struggled to enjoy it because it often wasn’t clear what I was meant to do, even knowing that it’s intended to be a WarioWare-like. That said, I think there are some pretty simple changes you could make that would help a ton!

  • Controls should probably be displayed DURING the microgame instead of for such a short time beforehand. If it was only ever mouse-only controls or only ever WASD, it would matter less. But on some of the games I didn’t even know where to start. You can probably just bake the tutorial text right into the game’s BG.
  • Some of the tutorial panels were just false. The panel before “Running Button” says “platformer controls”, but it’s actually a mouse-only game. This added to the confusion.
  • Don’t used fixed resolution on Itch for games with non-standard aspect ratios. I’m on a normal laptop, and I couldn’t see the whole game without scrolling my browser.
  • P doesn’t seem to actually pause the game.
  • Whack-a-mole minigame needs some feedback when you successfully hit them. I couldn’t tell if I hit or missed.
  • Not a huge deal if this is a “just-for-fun” project, but I’d recommend changing the Undertale music to something royalty free, since using copyrighted music is usually against jam rules (I don’t think it applies here, however).

Hopefully some of this is helpful! This game has a fun, silly energy which I always like to see 😊

We will reduce the size of the game. It's pixel art upscaled of x3, we will switch to x2.

Everything you mentioned is now on our todo list.

However, all the music in the game is original, and made by our team's composer.

But happy you had fun, and thank you for your feedback.

Hey! For one of the tracks, I used the same sounds from Undertale to create a Megalovania-inspired song. It’s not an actual song from the game 😄 They're all the same tracks just in a different style!
