So that’s it, no end date given just ‘Voting is over now!’? Nosey did NOT win, but we all knew it was going to go this way. You look at the results and go ‘Oh 43% want the nosey style’ instead of ‘oh 57% voted for a completely different style’. You chose to make the poll this way as you KNEW it would divide the votes if even a little giving an excuse to continue with the ‘Nosey’ style. There are so many comments saying how bad it is and yet instead of trying to do things fairly you go the way of underhanded tactics to win.

Now you give us 3 options for nosey and somehow made them even more unappealing so the 1st style is chosen AGAIN. The 2nd is some kind of malformed version of the first, changing nothing but proportions and looking like a animated bobble head. While the 3rd option is closer to “Comfy” but now it has the nose, the head is massive and it just looks weird overall. Like I can literally boot up the original game and see how much better that style was and come back to this and just weep over how butchered it now is! If this is how things are going to be done going forward, not just the style but how the story is being changed, characters are being changed not just design wise but their personalities, as well as voting and decisions are going to be handled in underhanded ways I can’t keep supporting this. Been here almost since it first started up on Itch and to see where its gotten to I’m just disappointed. It’s been a fun ride while it lasted. I’ll leave the original art of Gwen as a memorial of what we once had

Like seriously. The "comfy" style used to be called the "Voldemort" style. Little bit more evidence for your underhanded tactics accusation for ya. I mean, Voldemort sounds way more unappealing than "comfy" doesn't it? Despite that style's noses looking nothing like Voldemort's.

Anyways, the "comfy" style in the first vote was literally an upgraded version of THAT IMAGE RIGHT THERE. I'd have been perfectly fine with that as that ACTUALLY looked good.

It seriously looks that way then, doesn't it? It quite literally looks like the developer has a clear and obvious bias towards a specific art style. But everything's fine right? He "put control in YOUR (our) hands" to decide which style the game uses!

(But then he never mentions when the voting ends on Itchio or his website. He never recounted (or ran back) the votes after people seemingly got to vote infinitely. Then it randomly ends when "noses" just so happened to be the "winning" option, once again there was no defined end date hence why this looks suspicious. And instead of doing an elimination vote he does variants where the other 2 variants look incredibly weird. Thus making the OG noses seem like the best out of the 3.)

I mean maybe he just didn't really put any thought in to it. Maybe he really did just skip straight to the variant vote. But that's still ~56% out of 3124 voters that just got shunned. Sure, it's less work to just skip to the variant vote AND it lets him get to work faster but... Still, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth for everyone who's part of that 56% (me). Not to mention the suspicions regarding the "Steamy" style were never properly addressed outside of a "I suck at drawing that's why it looks like AI" on Discord.

He promised transparency. Yet what he's giving us is almost completely opaque. He just lowered the opacity by 5% is all.

I apologize ahead of time, I only read the first couple chunks of the post... but I have to directly disagree that the comfy style is in any way an upgrade of what we had. It washed out most of the details, brightened the colors, and opted for the low tier 3D anime style face you would see on things like Left 4 Dead 2 anime girl character models. You cannot actually look at the screen shot dude posted side by side with the "comfy" look and say they are the same image lmao. Meanwhile the Nosey is actually a lot closer, it just has higher detail on the various traits of the character. It basically took the existing character and applied a heavier line of detail to it, which made things pop instead of just washing them together. It's like comparing slightly darker vibe with heaviet attention to detail and washed out details with bright pastels. Personally I wish we could get the hybrid head on the nosey body, because the hybrid body still washes out a lot of the detail, most obviously the cleavage but even her height and overall look makes her look younger than she should be. But the hybrid head actually fits the nosey face properly, instead of it have a half foot forehead as if this was a Code Lyoko character base lol.

Looking at a side-by-side comparison is something I should've done before writing that original comment.

Some of what I said still stands. Like the hair is definitely an improvement, but I do think that the "comfy" style is definitely shaded differently than the OG after looking at them side to side.

The shading and lighting applied to "Nosey" is closer to the OG game, but "Comfy's" overall model is closer to the OG game.

Only adds more evidence to OP's underhanded tactics accusation imo. Making "Nosey" (the style he seems to want to win) closer to the OG game in terms of lighting and shading so people would vote for it. While making Comfy obviously worse in terms of that same lighting and shading.

The OG game's style seems to have never even been offered in the first place. Instead it was "AI Generated?," "100% anime," and "High quality model with a weird nose, and unnerving face."

I think if he put in the effort he could've made the OG style on par with his "magnum opus" Nosey style. But it's too late for that now.

Ya, I'm kinda curious as to *why* the looks of the characters has shifted so drastically... Guessing Arc got more Koikatsu assets he wanted to use instead of the original stuff and that was just that... though it does still bother me he was listing the clearly AI generated images as hand drawn... I hope to hell n back it's a case of he was told it was hand drawn by whoever he got it from but even that is still bad because he would be getting ripped of =_=; worst case scenario, he did it himself and tried to pass it off as hand drawn which is... *really* bad... as is, going off the poll on the site, if looks like the pastel and washed out details will win anyway. Man, I really liked this story too v_v;
