Alice and the Rabbit 6 – Reading a Book
Alice was sitting in a field. It was a wonderful, beautiful summer field. And she was reading her favorite fairy tales there. They were the most incredible stories. Alice was even lost in her reading. A nice breeze blew through her. So pleasant. And she kept reading to Alice. Just then, a rabbit ran past and said, "Hello!"
The rabbit was white and cheerful. He hopped around and kept moving. But he finally stopped in front of Alice. And started flapping his ears. And even took off his hat. He invited Alice to have some tea. Alice looked up from her book. And for some reason, she even extended her hand, pointing somewhere in the grass. Alice knew this rabbit. He was her friend. She was simply lost in her reading.
The rabbit looked at what Alice was reading and said, "Aha!"
He reads fairy tales too, and other things. It's interesting. Thousands of stories. About all sorts of things in the world. About oceans and meadows. About unicorns. And which the rabbit himself has never seen. But he's sure they exist. Fairy tales are wonderful things. The rabbit invites Alice to tea.
Alice only managed to nod. Well, it looks like she'll have to go to the rabbit's for tea. That's how many summer chores Alice has. Finish reading the fairy tales and then go to the rabbit's for tea. And tea at the rabbit's is an eternity. Until the evening. We'll have tea. Other animals will come too. The cat, for example.
Alice often goes to the rabbit's for tea. And she's already become friends with the fluffy cat. The cat has a watch. Such a beautiful watch. Which the cat wears on a chain. Such a beautiful chain. And on the rabbit's table is an alarm clock. A green metal alarm clock. Not big.
The musician grasshopper comes running. He always puts his violin in the grass. And sits down on a chair. The rabbit always leaves one chair. It's a stool. White for the grasshopper. For the green grasshopper. The grasshopper sits down at the table and slowly sips his tea. He listens to the others' stories. He's tired of playing music and is simply resting. He'll continue tomorrow.
Reading a book. Alice promised the rabbit she'd come for tea. And she decided to finish the book. Fairy tales are so captivating, with such beautiful pictures. Drawn by artists. Alice loves it so much. Sitting in a field and reading a book. And then waiting for the rabbit.
