Hi! Thank you so much, I'm really glad you like my work and that you're considering using it in your game.
As for the package development, I already have future expansions planned that will focus on new robots and alien creatures. I must admit I hadn't considered adding sci-fi fantasy elements until now, but your suggestion is a great idea and I'd love to develop something in that direction!
I can confirm that the license terms are exactly as stated: commercial use is permitted, and no attribution or credit is required. However, if you do decide to include me in the game's credits, I would be absolutely thrilled!

Thanks again for your support, and talk soon!

Thank you so much for your kind reply! I'm really excited to hear that you already have plans for future expansions with new robots and alien creatures.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you create in the future. Thanks again, and I wish you all the best with your future projects!

Thank you so much for your words! You will hear from me relatively soon!

Hi there! I have one more question. Are all the assets in this bundle 16x16 size except for the character set?

Yes, exactly. The package includes individual files, atlases, and spritesheets for the animations.

Hi! I have a question about the asset.

Are the maps included in the “Legacy Pack - Old Version” completely separate from the assets included in “SciFi BG Toolkit Vol.1 - Updated.zip”?

If they are completely separate, I’m considering keeping and using them separately. However, if some of the assets in the Legacy Pack are updated versions of the ones included in the current pack, I was wondering if it would be better to just use the newer versions.

Could you please clarify the relationship between the two? Thank you so much!

Hi there! :) Great question, let me break it down for you.
The Legacy version was actually my very first experience with pixel art and asset creation.
Back then, since I hadn't planned out a future for the series yet, I put a bit of everything into a single pack: characters, weapons, explosions, and environments.
Later on, as I started expanding this world, I felt the need to split the content to make it much easier to manage and use.
That's how this specific pack was transformed and expanded to focus exclusively on environments.
I decided to keep the Legacy version available so the people who bought the original pack wouldn't lose access, while giving them the chance to download all the new material for free.

To answer your question directly: yes, I definitely recommend using the current version, as it has been heavily refined and expanded over time!
You can think of the Legacy version a bit like an old box found in the attic—if you have the time and feel like digging through it, you might still find some cool little gems in there (like the old characters or animations).

I hope this helps! Feel free to ask if you have any other questions :)

(A quick side note: I actually meant to keep the Legacy version online only temporarily so old users could grab the updates, and then delete it to avoid confusion. Of course, I completely forgot about it until today! I just took the opportunity to finally remove it, so it looks like you were the very last person to ever see it!)

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation!

Actually, I’ve already been using some of the robots, effects, and other assets from the old Legacy version in my current project. There are so many charming assets in that version, and I’m really enjoying working with them!

Just to be completely sure, since I am using those assets, will there be any copyright or commercial use issues when I release the game in the future?

Thanks again for your help and for creating such awesome work!

I'm glad you found something interesting, feel free to use it! Thank you for writing to me!
