Hi Justin!

So a few days ago, I left a comment about some things regarding the game, things which I know you've addressed since then. First and foremost... I want to apologize for my tone. I'll admit, I was just ticked off and kept seeing things that made me think of MMU, all while I was forgetting that at the time I was on Veteran mode.

Since then, you've had two updates to the game and, after playing through the entirety of the 8 Mavericks and going up to getting the Hadouken on 1.00.4 and seeing the vast majority of things I commented on adjusted or fixed, I wanted to provide more feedback to you in the hopes of helping you improve the game better in certain spots. Is there a better way for me to communicate with you besides in comments?

Also, I'd like to ask if you can confirm something for me (And for anyone who isn't Justin, it doesn't count if someone else confirms it. It needs to be Justin so I can state for any naysayers that this comes from the developer). I just want to know... after having every other collectable in the game, getting the Hadouken only requires going through the same loop of Fortress 1 four times and then having full health on the final run, right? It doesn't have any sort of requirement regarding subtanks being full or only using the secondary attack, right? I mean, I have video evidence already but that still requires me to upload it and I wouldn't be surprised if someone accuses me of doctoring the footage somehow anyway.

who cares what anyone else says?  If you've got proof you've got proof.  People are gonna say what they're gonna say, even if you post an image in the video of the Dev themself confirming that information.

This is why, at least on youtube, you have the option to moderate comments on your uploads

Adding a reply to my own post to share a bug I encountered during the Fortress 1 boss. The boss was closing the four right-most sets of crushers on me. I dashed to the left but should've been caught on at least the last set of crushers. However, instead the game just... let me pop out. However, what followed was I clipped into the crushers. I tried jumping to get out, but when going to land I instead clipped even further down. I made a second attempt, and this time when landing I clipped even further and fell right out of the stage. I recorded a video after this of me letting it linger while I was now so far off screen that my shots couldn't be heard and part of the background was replaced with the outside background.

I just want to mention that the 4 lives thing isn't true. I started the level with 2 lives, died twice in the pit, and when I had zero lives left the pod showed up. Just thought I would clear that up.

It's not based on lives. It based on how many times you enter into the stage (whether by choosing it on the stage select screen or by dying). These were the exact conditions I recorded.

What do you mean exactly, how many deaths or times entering stage do you need? I so far got it twice and just kept dying in the pit over and over until it showed up. Would be nice to know exactly. Thanks.

So it should only take four loops where you go from the start of the stage to where the capsule is. You have to "enter" the stage to start each new loop. "Entering" the stage is when you see the "Ready" words flashing on screen while you teleport into the stage.  This can be done either from dying or from using the Escape Unit to get back to the Stage Select then selecting the Fortress stage again. On your fourth run, you have to have full health before you drop down to where the capsule is. If you don't have full health, it won't spawn.

Basically, it's the same conditions you needed to spawn the Hadouken capsule in Mega Man X1.

Thanks, that clears it up. MMX1 flashbacks to childhood.

Honestly, a lot of this game does that (Similar weapon concepts, similar final boss, even the reuse of the Hadouken). It even kind of does that in the positioning of Mavericks on the Stage Select. I was shocked at how much it felt as a callback to X1.
