wow i adored every second of this super delightful work! yui is just sooooo fucking good in this and by good i mean AWESOME! im a huge fan of the "entirely misguided person with the wrong idea tries to fix the other person by doing what they think is right" trope (its really funny how this is the second vn ive read featuring an unhygenic parasocial blue glasses girl longing for escapism doing exactly that) but yui is just completely unbelievable here. not unbelievable as in unrealistic (very much the opposite especially when she described herself as "exempt from most of humanitys collective activities" ooough) just that the levels of absolutely delusional entitlement this girl possesses could power an entire city grid its genuinely so impressive how she manages to convince herself shes carrying out this incredible noble mission for her goddess all the while acting like a total incel creep! and i like that meadow though sympathetic is also not without fault or guile just like yui she is in fact a freak and uses her in much the same way yui does with her looking past who she is at someone who just isnt there anymore. just like yui meadow is alone in her life and even more afraid of rejection and abandonment than she is desperate to be with her even after everything goes to shit. theres also a sort of tragic irony in how even after her "consensual rebirth" into a girls body meadow still cant be seen for who she really is in her very last moments. speaking of goddd what a killer ending i thought i knew where everything in this was going but that completely floored me (well i did think there was no fucking way this itadakimasu girls name was actually yui lmao) now thats a fucking crazy toxic yuri ending !! maybe its the thing of two selves in one body and trying to free the one you love from it and the pill overdose suicide and the last second magical wish granting that makes you scream NO but it really brought to mind obsession lol. thank you for the wonderful meal i had a great time wiggling your cute sprites around while reading
