You’re right, that’s an edge case I didn’t account for. Normally an open tab doesn’t generate Time Points because the game continues running in the background rather than pausing like most browser games.

However, if it reaches a major decision and has to stop for player input, then leaving it open can currently leave you with neither progression nor Time Points. That isn’t a good outcome. I’m going to look at having time spent waiting at a blocking decision count toward Time Points, so leaving the game open doesn’t actively disadvantage you.

Thanks, this change is great.

your game ALSO dosent run in the background, because you have it sitting within a frame IN THIS PAGE. you should not be doing that. when we hit run game, it should reload the game INTO ITS OWN PAGE where it resizes to fill the screen (not fullscreen). THAT page, and ONLY that page will run in the background. dunno why so many people who use itch dont know this very simple thing.

I'm not getting any time points now no matter what I do. When the system first rolled out, I got a few time points right away, and then I used them up the next time I played, and since then I've never gotten any more. I'm playing in a Firefox tab that I never close, and I put the computer to sleep at night. Does the game not accumulate time points if a skill isn't active? I always pause at the start of a new life when I'm done playing for the day. The game can't really be played idly because I have to choose when to call the tide and which element to search for and which skill to use in the elemental towns and which beast elemental form to use, etc.
