My first thought was: another roguelike game. But when I saw the levels are always the same, I changed my mind. For a first preview, it is interesting even if bats are a PITA!

Exactly, it is not a rogue-like game. As for the bats, don't rush at them; wait for them to come to you.
I rarely see top down rpgs. And thanks for the tip. I'll try to apply it next time I launch the preview version.
