YOOO thanks SO MUCH for such a thorough feedback!!! really appreciate you being out here doing the lord's work โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™

  • You're completely right about the sneaky difficulty in GM-ing this; it's present even for the players, too. For this version, some familiarity to postapocalyptic or dystopian fiction such as Mad Max or Fallout will help (or if we're talking Appendix N then my choice would be my touchstones - Margaret St. Clair's and Lin Carter's works), but I'm already planning to add something to address this exact problem in uhhh dare I say an expanded version? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ’ฆ
  • You're also completely right about some bland lines in there. I wouldn't change it to something that alludes to the Floor having a certain "function" but it definitely could use another round of revision which, to be honest, I might have had the time for, but definitely not the energy lmaooooo
  • re: "Taste Blood in the Water" - I probably wouldn't be able to come up with a phrase that describes 'pinpointing something abstract (like a feeling, information, or memory) inside another abstract thing (like the mind)' better. Sensing fear inside a swirl of emotions, like locating a type of liquid (blood) inside another type of liquid (water). Also I guess when it popped into my head the mental image was just too cool to ignore. Actually, yeah, maybe that's the reason. lol

Again, thanks for taking the time to leave such thoughtful review!

looove that an expanded version's potentially in the works ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€ tbh, i've been chewing on alternatives to Taste Blood since writing this and haven't come up with anything good. even the potential energy and feeling of like, a looming frenzy is just hard to match. going with the cool first thought was the right move i think!
