After harmonized village, when crossing lvl 101 with circulate without a dominant sign (the evolved form of the cultivation from there.) I did not get a notification, nor did the level reset, but the cultivation method got a new name and far more powerful, but ONLY on the life screen, and not on the explore screen, where it kept its old name and power. The level and mastery xp is shared between the 2 versions. I feel like progression is borked.

If you're talking about "Practise beyond the Given Boundary" it's normal, this version of the action is available only in Willowbrook Village and only increase one elemental affinity (depending on the incarnation) whereas the Harmonized Settlement version increase all affinities at once but the progression is spread between all of them
My bad, I have indeed Harmonized Settlement written but it is only said "Its remaining limits belong partly to the element and partly to the person guarding it" as a reference to the element, not that no element dominates (so the same for both versions), the only difference being that there is a mention of "mixed circulation" for the Circulation without a Dominant Sign
