AI is ok for hobby projects and non traditional search requests.
It's not ok to use as a replacement for humans, and there are signs, that a lot of the ai hype is actually a scam. As in, the companies can not deliver what they promise. Similar to quantum computer companies. They just advertise and promote the ai usage everywhere they can and hope they can deliver.
Yes, you can simulate on the quick something that resembles the work you need. But it's shallow and crumbles on inspection. The fact that AI can hallucinate and invent "facts", just to please you, should tell you all you need to know about it. But it gets worse. Not only it can not deliver as promised, it is also much more costly than human work for some tasks.
If you need a proof of concept prototype or a throwaway concept image, it might deliver, since something that resembles the thing you need, is the thing you wanted.
Thing is, those ai system do not understand what they are talking about or creating. We are not yet at a stage where we have robots like in science fiction stories. And it is unclear, if the generative ai tech can get there at all.
As a side note, the fact that you do can produce convincing works with ai, just exposes how little is needed in some fields to not be found out as an impostor.
