Pretty fun, but I had to stop playing because of the controls - hold down right mouse button and scroll is difficult on a trackpad (the one I use, anyway). And even if not for that, dragging around the map, e.g. to look for the spirit, is just awkward. My suggestion: If it's revealed on the map anyway, just show me where it is. Same for my return portal. Make a pointer arrow. Let me zoom out on the map. Give me a minimap. Anything.

Hi! I’d actually been thinking about similar issues myself, and had even started working on them when I saw your message. Thanks for putting into words some of the things I’d been unsure about.

I’ve updated the game, and now:

  • When important objectives appear (the Spirit, the Enlightened One, the Portal, etc.), you can click the objective text and the camera will move to the relevant location. A bouncing arrow will also appear there so everyone notices it.
  • I added edge scrolling when you move the mouse close to the edges of the screen.
  • In cases where the game effectively ends because there are no other AI players left, I decided to award an early victory after all, to reduce the boring running around between sources.

Thanks for the feedback!
