Everything from the visuals to the music to the writing to the chapter transitions feels very royal and epic and grandiose. And beautiful!

IMO, even though this is titled “Prince Swallow”, it's really about Kagamitsuki - which makes sense as Prince's obsession is Kaga, whose obsession is Prince. She usurps the story and Swallow's whole existence and motivations and total submission.
Both she and Swallow are headstrong, but her self-determination, pettiness, honesty and concern for those outside herself and her obsession (the lantern still burns) give her such an elegant admirable mature strength and presence.

The always present thunderstorms on her sprite, she's always tormented - with reason and I feel for her, hug -, and stuck in her binary hunter-prey dichotomy of palace politics and empirial stanges when meanwhile in the brief space of playing she finds an actual freedom and sincerity where she and swallow don't have to be enemies...
Prince Swallow obeys her heart, but Kaga can't...
The love scenes art were tender and the ending was brutal!!!Toxic yuri indeed.
