When I press "Okay" nothing gets added to my inventory. :(

Just click the objects in the correct sequence to obtain the key. After that, simply click on the drawer, and it will automatically use the key and open.
Can you please tell me which file are you playing ? Windows, Linux, Mac Android?

I figured out what the issue is. It says, "I have the key. I should try using it." Even if you don't have the key. Because it told me I already had a key, I didn't look for another puzzle. But once I found the book puzzle, it let me through. The message should probably say something like, "I need to find the key" instead, because otherwise people will stop looking for clues and try to figure out where their key they "should try using" is, haha.
Also very minor but since I'm at that part, there's a typo after you finish: "Looks like I have collected eveything."

The message that appears in all released versions of the game is "You've got the key!", we have attached the screenshot belo, not the one showing on your screen. The message you're seeing was only used in an older development build while we were still working on the game.
From what we understand, it looks like you might be running the game through Ren'Py (the development software) instead of the released build. That could be why an older, previously coded version is appearing on your screen.

That's weird! I'm just playing the version I downloaded from the .zip file when I bought the game. T_T (Idk if it matters but the zip I downloaded is TheFailureEvenDeathRejects-1.0-pc and I'm playing the TheFailureEvenDeathRejects.exe file. I'm not sure what you mean by playing in Renpy, clicking the .exe file is how I play all my Itch games.)
