I’m not saying that this is bad, but it’s a little boring… here are some suggestions I found that could make it more interesting:
- no long straight sections (boring)
- no blind sections, this means that a person playing the track for the first time should have time to anticipate where to go
- lots of variation in gameplay (fun)
- lots of active gameplay (not blind) (the player has to focus = more fun | this doesn’t mean hard gameplay)
- be careful with jumps (too much airtime = boring)
- playtest a lot and avoid transitions that frequently cause landing bugs
- have a theme for gameplay, like precision or transitions
- be aware that fullspeed maps can get pretty large and might mean lots of decoration
- dont have the map too high as that messes with physics
- find something unique, there are lots of fullspeed maps out there, so find a way for your map to stand out
- have respawnable checkpoints too
- avoid wheel clips
it’s also a little too short, aim for around 30 seconds total.
