Is it just me or do you imagine hearing "Mine!" "Mine!" "Mine!"   (if you are young you ain't gonna get it)  :)  if you get it, you get it...  Great Game! with a lot of nostalgic feel to it. I am enjoying it.

😂 Finding Nemo? I was already in my late 20s when that came out! I made this game to satisfy my itch for late 80s early 90s RPGs that I played when I was a kid. The obvious comparison is The Bard's Tale series which I absolutely adored.

lol No This  game I was thinking about... Copied the thief in the maze from a text based game called Zork,  (downloaded off from a bulletin board with a 300 baud dial-up modem )   that was from um early 1980's  The Computer game that was on the Commodore 64 computer, can't remember the name of the game though... Think it was Bard's Tale I, II, or III or...one of the series, from mid 80's  til  early 90's. The graphics, the UI is pretty much the same.  might have been another series of a game.

Ok I see, not sure if the "Mine! Mine! Mine!" passed me by then, maybe I'm too young at 50+!!

But I can absolutely 100% confirm that this game has been inspired by the Bard's Tale games!

when player make suggestions, it's not always wise to follow the desires of one player vs the entire player base, that being said, back in the dark ages of text based games, when color came out!! remember dot matrix!! there used to a silly chart someone made, that explained colors and color blind people, and what combination to avoid. Could not find it..but the blue dot, white direction finder, might the direction finder be changed to another color? I would put some thought into it before just changing it to please one player.. I am not color blind,  just find it hard to see that line with glasses on old eyes.

Thanks  for the feedback. How about this? It's still the same colour but slightly more defined?

You sir are a genius, That truly helped, Thank you kindly!!

playing the downloaded version now.  Really starting to enjoy the game.

Thank you! I just updated with your tweak suggestion as well as a bunch of other minor fixes, so make sure you have the latest version. Let me know if you spot any issues or have any more suggestions.

I am having a small issue with saving, might be my error.

Ok if you can describe the problem I’ll try and figure it out.

when you try to save,  you get: Error: Failed to write to disk. But a file is saved.  message is: Check console. When you try to load what appears to be the save file, it says Check console. or Failed to load save file. Check console for details.  When you try to save it does save a file. lyrewight-save-178551996385.json   so saved as plain-text?

Ok thank you. Sorry about that. I’ll investigate tomorrow as Im out and about just now.

In the Adventure's guild , recruits, the class of the characters could use a tweak on the color so the words stand out just a little more, thank you

Great idea. I've added colour coding and icons to help them stand out. I'll publish a new version (V1.0.6) shortly.

I've also added extra error handling over the save game process which will hopefully help with your issue. I can't reproduce it myself so it's hard to know. Please let me know if that has resolved it?

Thank you! oh the color coding makes that amazing, well thought out..much easier to put a group together.

Discovered maybe bug of sorts in the Adventure' guild, I have not figured it out what causes it triggers it, but sometimes you get a free reconstruction due to some action, not sure what action though.. in the Adventure's guild, trying to figure it out, when you level other characters, the dead party member comes back to life, not sure what causes it, or maybe *evil grin* it's supposed to be that way? Done it twice,  When I really wanted it to work, I tried everything and can't figure out what triggered it before...

Thanks for letting me know. I believe I've now fixed that bug, it was indeed to do with a rogue bit of code that sometimes resurrected a dead character when another party member levelled up. In fact in the old version I think it was possible for a dead party member to level up, so I've added a fix for that too. I also added a few other tweaks. V1.0.7 is now live.

It looks like a fair bit of thought went into the dungeons, I am thoroughly enjoying them.

Thank you so much! Yes I designed a separate custom map editor tool just for this purpose that allows me to more quickly and easily add contents to the dungeons with a mouse click.

Map Entity Generator

Thank you for all your hard work, the resulting game is truly fun to play.
