Thank you so much for taking the time to play the game and write such thoughtful feedback!:) I'm really happy you liked the art style—that's a huge compliment!
I completely understand where you're coming from. This is a hidden object game, which is a pretty niche genre. It's designed to be more of a relaxing, cozy experience rather than a challenging one, so there aren't any fail states or time pressure. I think it's perfectly fine if that style of gameplay isn't for everyone—just like not everyone enjoys fast-paced action games. Sometimes it's nice to slow down:)
I actually remember playing Freddi Fish too!:) It's a great game, but I'd consider it more of a point-and-click adventure. The main similarity is that both games are controlled with the mouse, but point-and-click games can cover lots of different genres, from adventures and puzzles to hidden object games like this one.
Concerning the theme, as all hidden object games, it has a countdown of objects you need to find. I was planning to include a timer with a countdown too, but decided against it - with time pressure the game wouldn't be relaxing anymore.
Thanks again for the kind words! I really appreciate the encouragement, and I hope you'll enjoy whatever we make next—even if it's something completely different.
