Genuinely amazing game, I had to retry a couple times but I managed to get both the endings, the moment I realised there were secret paths was the moment everything clicked for me.
glad you enjoyed it, i couldnt decide if i should gate the keys in that last map or not. some would just give up there, and others will retry to see if secret paths can solve it (i am still waiting for someone to spot the quick travel trick tho)
idk if this was what you were talking about, but i was able to take a secret path to (i think) room 8, then use quick travel to the same room to bypass all the doors
