I always enjoy a number go up kind of game. I was wondering how you managed to have so many darts on screen at the same time.
I thought that the monkeys were useless but if you get enough of them they are overpowered.
I know it was probably challenging to handle that many darts on screen at the same time but there's a point where there are so many darts that the game starts deleting the old darts before they can reach the board and they don't fill the screen as much. Would be nice if they filled the screen even if there were less actual darts on screen. Would have felt more satisfying. Cool game!

Yeah honestly was quite proud of the way I handled these darts. The whole game actually essentially just employs embedded systems paradigms, I have a million dart slots all layout out in a particular way memory wise, and then I just sequentially use them. I definitely could have had them going to the bottom if I rendered them slightly differently skipping more evenly would have kept a percentage of them visibly falling. I ended hp having to decide it was just not worth when we still needed more assets n' things.

Yeah game jams force us to choose our battles. It's just not enough days to do everything we wanted.
