Yeah, I think I definitely needed more indication when you hit or missed the asteroid. When looking in the normal mode, it makes it clearer to me if I missed or not (it explodes when it hits) but its possible there's a bug I haven't seen that makes it not explode when it hits. It is pretty hard to hit the asteroid, to be fair - you have to be very lined up.
