I love what you made here - it's an extremely charming game.

It reminds me of the game 'Black Souls' but without the fanservice (which is a good thing IMO).

The story, lore and world build is all very well done; it seamlessly immerses you into a dark fantasy world chock full of atmosphere and delight.

The spell upgrade to 'Mudsling' that says it targets all foes only targets single, so that spell is redundant as is; but luckily that's a very easy fix.

The fact that you get a full heal after each battle is quite nice as the difficulty spikes are quite steep, so I encourage other players to grind so they can get stronger.

I will also give you a rating soon, but I am checking for a possible discrepancy with the rating system in the jam Discord, so rest assured you will get my rating once that is resolved.

Awesome jam game and great work. I will follow with interest :)

EDIT: Rating submitted for the game now. If anyone is reading this then the rating category for 'Horror' is supposed to be 'Comedy'.

As evidenced by the entry's submission being only 9 seconds before the deadline, I had no time for QA on this one. I apologize heavily for letting these things, but most importantly not being able to continue progress after closing the game, slip by! I'll make an update but still keep the jam version up if I am able to soon. Thank you for playing and following!

I made it as far as I can go now and made a slight adjustment to the game rating now that I was able to play more.

There is a game breaking bug that stops me going further. To avoid spoilers it's the event that makes the third party member join, there is no switch that triggers after and it reruns the scene but the move route then freezes the game.

Thank you so much. I've updated the game, and sorry for making you play it again from the beginning. I still haven't been able to play the game to the end myself, but that should be the last for game-breaking bugs. I'm not sure, but you might be able to simply bring your save from the last version to the new one, and be able to continue playing that way. Thank you again.

Yes - I can just port the save over to the new version and resume where I left off since I saved right before that so it's no problem.

Also don't worry about not having time to fully playtest the game - I am guilty of that in some of my projects too! The jam players sometimes end up as my impromptu play testers which I don't really like but what can one do when one runs out of time, eh?
