I like the concept! I liked going out into the dungeon, hearing the sounds of the minotaur before seeing one was pretty tense. I thought that this game had the perfect setup for having you navigate your way back to the brazier yourself, in the dark, or with limited light, etc. but instead you're teleported. I think this was quite the missed opportunity! I also felt the upgrades, particularly the ones that gave you more wood per object, were simply not powerful enough, which extends the gameplay time artificially a bit. Overall though, I did have fun with it, the core gameplay itself is just fun!

We actually want to make changes after the jam to expand on the idea to possibly introduce future braziers! It was actually a game design mechanic we had to keep as the resources of the map/new maze generation reset when your light goes out. We think it'd be fun to switch that up and explore more into multiple braziers that you have to rush to get to in order to refill your lantern.

We very much appreciate your feedback and we are very happy you tried it out!

Thank you very much for this feedback, much appreciated! Thank you for playing our game.

I love the idea about navigating back to the brazier, I might need to ponder on that.

And yes, for a game jam, the upgrading progression was slower than intended.
