Interesting, I like the graphics, really smooth, the music for the hardcore mod is catchy, but the others are kinda soft. It's fun, but it's too bad that when you lose all the hearts of one ship, it gets definitely destroyed and you play with only one ship, which makes it much more easier and it doesn't feel like a punishment to lose one ship. But overall, it's good, the bullets and the sounds effects are satisfying and the gameplay is still enjoyable.

Yes I struggled with that. The fact that the score counts up twice as fast when you have two ships is meant to be encouragement to keep them both alive but you may well be right that the better approach would be to require that both ships be alive or game over. I'll be curious to see if anyone else weighs in on this.
