I like the art and the music, but I really don't understand what I'm supposed to do. Dashing seems to only stun the enemies and it's not clear how I need to kill them. Also, I have no idea what causes me to take damage and what doesn't.

Welp, I honestly thought the last minute addition of a splash text in your first run, while simple, would tell you everything you need to know, but I guess not.
You attack by getting close to your enemies and absorbing their blood. You regain health once you kill them by staying close to them for a second or 2 (no abilities being active). And your health is literally the timer.
