I love this! It's not easy to make a paper-airplane game and make it control nice, but you guys did it. It's definitely not easy, quite hard at times, I think the difficulty might ramp up a little bit too soon, but it feels good all the same.

The tone and atmosphere of the game is top-notch. The wind, the dynamic music that swells after ignition, the blue skies and vibrant islands. I'm surprised it ran this good on web (despite some loading stutters here and there). I definitely think there could be more of a leadup when the boost happens, just so you can keep track of it and plan the routes you take better? Might go against the spirit of the jam, tho.

But yeah, the sound design and world are the definite stand outs here. I'm surprised you guys managed to do all of this in just FOUR DAYS. Amazing job!!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words!

Honestly, we suffered to make it run on web and had to throw away and redo a lot for that, but at the end, we were also suprised it ran so well (first loading and ignition are a bit tough though yeah xD).

I’ll let the culprit explain himself about the difficulty ramp up :D

Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment here!

Culprit here!

We intended to have more levels between the 3 you played, but didn't have the time at the end to make them at the same level of quality for the set dressing.

So yeah, if it feels like the difficulty ramps up quickly, like if you skipped some levels, it's because it is, sorry about that :D

However, I'd say that I'm happy we put a quite challenging level (the last one) at the end. It gives the game some replayability and allowed me to brag about my perfect score in 1:33 sec :D

For the boost, we picked this option to try to fit the jam's theme, but if we were to continue the work on this game (which we could ^^), we already planned to let the player fix/improve their plane and change the engine behaviour ^^

Thanks for playing and for your super nice comment!
