I love the concept and style but everything feels very random. The hints at the start of the day don't seem to correlate to anything. I'm sure they do, they just didn't feel like it.

You got rules like "smelly things are underrated" which can imply two things: They are under valued now or they are worth more than you think. I THINK it was the former but again. It's seemed a bit random.
