Haha, you might consider it unnatural, but let me explain why: Jeremiah and Lucio are polar opposites—I drew a lot of inspiration from Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov. Jeremiah is a pure soul representing peace, hope, and integrity; he's essentially a magnanimous being. I wanted him to forgive Lucio to show that hope can always be found, even when things look dark and distant.
Lucio is also heavily based on Raskolnikov from Crime and Punishment, who, with enough love, was able to break free from his lowest mental point and build a good life.
