The game seems to be interesting. However, I got stuck on the vents. I cannot seem to comprehend what the drawing is trying to tell me. Could I get a hint, please?

I thought (hoped) I could just see the drawing once and use it in the following lives. I’ve just now lost the motivation to finish this game :D. Thanks for the reply.
Anyway, the game and animations look really nice.
I was not able to finish it after 30+ tries. A creative mode would help.
Also, why is it raining underground?
