I was able to get this to run on Linux using Steams "Add a Game" and setting it to use Proton 9 for anyone else that may need this information!

I enjoyed the art, especially the cut-scenes. I was a bit confused by two aspects:

  1. Am I to only take one sheep and levels just have more than one sheep? I attempted to grab more than one sheep in a few separate levels.
  2. The sleeping sheep are immune or maybe that was a bug on my end?

Maybe I missed some information somewhere as I am not sure what the win condition is?

When escaping with a sheep it gives me a "Retry" screen indicating I didn't complete the puzzle.

Despite those critiques, I did enjoy the game and I played every level and even messed around with the level editor. This is a strong entry!

Aye, mate! How are ya?

Thanks for your detailed review! I appreciate the time you put on it. I'm really, really glad you enjoyed our art.

It's our second Jam so we had a few problems with managing time (me, particularly). Therefore, this resulted in the problems you're facing:

1. We should have added a couple of introductories levels explaning the mechanics... but the idea was to get a sheep at a time.

2. Probably a bug on your end... we should have tested more to find it.

3. The idea was to give a reward if the player find the shortest path... Like, a single star for completing the level and 2 stars if find the optimal path. That is the puzzle.

Despite those minor issues, I'm glad that you enjoyed a bit!

Scope is a major challenge for me as well. It does get easier to manage but at the same time, as skill increases so does the ceiling for what can be considered "in scope".

So, I think its just a never ending battle.
