I like that you challenged yourself to do the artwork yourself(as you described). It turned out great i think! the style that came out of it is really cool. It's also super polished. The UI feels great.
Maybe building extractors should've come at a cost (it didn't right?). I think that might have smoothed out the progression a little bit.
