Ohhhhh! I might have to try it again then! Yeah I looked at the ID then returned it to the table before trying to use the stamp - that seems more natural to me I guess since I wouldn't want to get hot wax on my hand haha!
Finished it (I killed the count!!!)! honestly you don't really need to change how you use the stamp - just need some more feedback if you do it wrong. a little denial sound and maybe a pop up that says the correct way to do it? something like that.
Great work all around! The art is so polished for a game made in 96 hours! You had a ton of artists though so I guess you set yourselves up for success in that regard!
One gameplay note is I would maybe add a timer and a quota with rewards for completing additional people instead of a set number of people to get through if you continue to develop this - I get that it's a lot cozier than something like Papers Please but just those two little changes would invite much more depth mechanically
also special shoutout to the person credited as 'spectator', made me giggle
To be honest I don't think it needs to be easier - just a few parts of it need to be more clear. The assassin needs to have a more specific description though maybe? not sure, the one I got was pretty vague
I even think you could make it harder by adding more rules as you progress but maybe balance that by introducing new rules slower and leaning more into narrative. Best of luck whatever you wind up doing :)
