It could certainly be refactored to improve code quality, it would just take more time.

If you want to contribute to the repository, I would be thankful.

I would love to, but I have very little experience with JavaScript besides just correcting a typo on the mainline Pocket Platformer...and also I have zero experience with Z80 ASM or even anything with Boriel Basic...besides having a full-on book on the latter.
