I have a weird question:

Is this happening on any particular page/game? I had a pet theory that overloading was due to someone trying to flood a server with requests in the hope of an embedded HTML5 frame throwing a descriptive error messages giving away their particular vulnerabilities of the server the actual game is hosted on. (ie. If a dev is lazy an Nginx error page could trigger -- giving away that it's vulnerable to Nginx-specific attacks). But it seems all you offer are asset packs, right?

I can't say for certain what determines which games get hit and which ones don't. What I can tell you is whatever it is gets very focused once it picks a target. I have two games on my profile, both free Game Boy homebrew games with similar tags yet one of them got 100% of the strange traffic while the other game didn't get a single view in that 3-4 day period of time.

In my case it is a single asset pack on one account and a single sale on the other.
