This is awesome!
Omegamarines are overrated.
The Serpent Legion are the only truly loyal legion! ;{)
The Demeanor table is really good for conveying the
game atmosphere and mood.

I just ran it for my brothers.
On the planet Kaliban, a squad of Moon Warriors needs
reinforcements and resupply deep in the forest.
The protective Devastator marine and dramatic, stealthy scout marine fought hostile wildlife and encountered Tyranids.
They got to the base and followed the trail of the squad to the Nest, source of the Tyranids, where meteors had impacted the planet earlier. They took out a Hive Tyrant with krak grenades before it could hatch from it's spawning pool and killed its four Warrior guards. (Also they killed a lictor that was hunting them, scout came in handy.)
I also ran a short intro sequence where they played as a duo of doomed Imperial Guardsmen by a broken down truck.
Kind of like the intro scene in a horror movie where somebody dies to show how dangerous things are. Seemed pretty successful.
Now I wish there was an Imperial Guard version of this.
Overall the game was really fun and easy to run. The prompts provide good inspiration for creating an adventure.
Only thing I would change is making Honor Gear cost only 1 Battle Honor. Skills are already arguably more useful.
I think both at 1 battle honor is very reasonable. It roughly maps with other 24XX games. The idea is already to have over the top missions where death and glory are both just one die roll away.
One of my players had his marine's arm bitten off in the finale. He got a cool new cyber-arm as soon as the mission was over.
