Frankly, I don't know the source of the image; I spoke with the artist, but honestly, I wasn't convinced that they were the one who drew it. However, I want to avoid any suspicion. Thank you anyway. Although I am upset because there are no distortions in it, I still appreciate you bringing this to my attention, as it might indeed be AI-generated
Using an AI-generated image for my profile picture means that I was the one who did it? Actually, this was a mistake and it won't happen again. I will verify the graphics before using them. Thank you once again for alerting me, because I placed my trust in the wrong person. By the way, do you like the new cover?
Generative AI assets is a VERY sensitive topic in the gaming industry and I HIGHLY suggest to stray away from it, even if it's allowed on Itch or other platforms; Clair Obscur was stripped from their GOTY award for using placeholder background newspaper Gen AI art that got patched 1 week from release, so it's definitely a touchy subject.
I know you meant no harm in using it (even if you were aware or unaware), and I would love to see your next works without AI! Game development is a learning process, so don't get discouraged about this and continue to games!
P.S. if your older works do have AI assets, I would suggest removing them as well. If ever you're skeptical or unsure, you can always turn to the community (i.e. Itch community, Game Jam Discords, art friends) to check on it! I'm sure there are tons of people out there who are willing to help
