Alice and the Rabbit 2 – The Best Place
This time, Alice is back in the field. And there's her friend – a rabbit. A gray rabbit. The rabbit extends his hand to greet Alice. The rabbit says nothing. Grasshoppers sing all around in the field. You can't see them. But there are so many of them. Alice is delighted to greet her friend.
A wonderful day. A perfect summer's day. Only very hot. But that's the only thing that can be said about such a wonderful day. Otherwise, the day was simply wonderful. Alice arrived by train. And walked across the field. She knew there was a rabbit there. The rabbit remembered Alice, too. And he goes to greet her.
The weather is fine – it's scorching hot. The rabbit is waiting for Alice to come. His hand is outstretched. From a distance, the rabbit looks like a stuffed animal. But the rabbit is real. And Alice is real too. The train has already left. And then Alice will return to the path and go to her house. And the rabbit will run back to his house.
Alice meets an old friend, a rabbit. The rabbit hops with joy. He's a rabbit, after all. Then he hops home. He runs quickly across the field. He can. The rabbit is fluffy. The rabbit tells how he ran with a frog to the pond. It's quite nice there in the shade. You can sit on the bank. In the shade of the trees. It's dark there. The light penetrates from above. Alice can also come to the frog.
It's hot in the field. The grasshoppers are singing. But you can't see them. The rabbit tells that while Alice was gone, an owl flew by. And a snail came. Alice has a letter inviting the rabbit to tea. To another rabbit. The one in the hat. He lives in a clearing. Behind the hills. Alice has never been there before. If you hop there, you'll get there quickly. But walking will take a long time.
Alice says that at the end of every weekend she has to go to town. There are no rabbits there. The rabbit doesn't believe there are no rabbits in town. Alice just doesn't see them. The day off is so short. So little time to be here. This is the best place. So says the rabbit.
