We're having problems running your game, could you confirm that the game runs?

(1 edit)

Hi Kenney, Sorry for the inconvenience! I have updated the project and uploaded a Web version. You can now play the game directly in your browser on the game’s from here https://dkhel.itch.io/duckscaler-web . Thanks for letting me know, and I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you but this is unfortunately not allowed, it's an unfair advantage over other participants to upload a fixed version after the jam. So we'll unfortunately have to judge your submitted version, which isn't working.

Hi Kenney, I completely understand and respect the rules—fairness to all participants comes first! Just to clarify what happened: I develop exclusively on Linux and don’t have a Windows machine to test .exe builds locally. Since this is my very first game jam, I didn’t realize the cross-compiled build had initialization issues until you pointed it out. Thank you for taking the time to check my submission and for hosting this jam. I’ve definitely learned a valuable lesson for future jams!

i got it to work! you have to drag DuckScaler.exe (which is a misnamed data file) on top of love.exe (this opens the data file using the engine)

Ah great, in that case we'll do that and be able to judge the game anyway!
