This sounds great. Tell me, is the lore from first edition, or from 2nd edition? I was in love with the first edition lore, except for the part where somehow Vikings are still a big thing in the 17th century.

Oh good point !  Now that you mention it, I'm interested in changing it.

I will be honest I forget how much of the lore I have changed already... Lolol   We are just now getting around to playing the campaign.

Currently the book has the Vestenmennevenjar, as merchant companies... But the details are probably too "lite".   They have their Viking heritage but that's something from nearly 600 years ago ish...

I may end up rewriting some of these sections to fit the age of sail better, Which means probably leaning into the Dutch trading companies and such.

I did make changes to how many sorcerers there could be (one per court, sanctioned by a crown).  And added a little bit of cultural lore as to why sorcerers are even remotely tolerated at all.

So you can expect there maybe other changes as we start to play out the campaign.

I started with the bones of second edition and I will probably continue to change until it's entirely its own thing.

I see, I see. Um, are the supernatural creatures still, "you know?" Beating around the bush of the bug reveal from 1e in case people reading this don't know.

This book here makes no mention of anything supernatural outside of what is needed to explain each type of sorcery.

I have removed general fantasy adventure and goblin killing from this game, If it ever had any.

Because it uses the core rules from pasion de las pasiones, This is a game of intrigue, social combat, and assassination and murder.  It's humans being humans during the age of sail  :)

I do have a section on adventuring, It's handled the PBTA way, and is about riches and exploration.

I may make an expansion to touch on the colonialism I'm not sure yet...

I got you. Well, it didn't have goblin slang, but there is a big, big secret about the actual nature of the supernatural elements in the first edition. It's obvious from your reply that that is not present in this Edition, but it's also obvious that you've got enough of a toolkit that people could revisit the first world if they want.
