Pocket-Platformer is a fantastic code-free tool! It serves as a great educational tool, and we use it in our free workshops organized by our local non-profit association in our village to show kids and teens aged 10 to 15 how to create their own Jump 'n' Run games. Everyone absolutely loves it and has a ton of fun working with it. My son even uses it privately at home, spending time designing his own tiles.

Regarding the ideas for future updates, we would love to suggest a few features:
- Shooting Mechanics: Adding projectiles so players can shoot enemies, and potentially having enemies that can shoot back at the player.
- Crouching / Ducking Mechanic: Giving the player the ability to crouch or duck. This would allow them to avoid obstacles, evade enemy attacks, or squeeze through tight, narrow passages, adding a lot of great depth to level design.
- Top-Down Mode: Building on the "Tiny Topdowner" idea mentioned by others, it would be incredible to have a mode or sister-engine to create games from a top-down perspective. Think of classics like The Legend of Zelda or old-school Pokémon. This would open up a whole new world for creating top-down adventures and simple RPG exploration!

Thank you for creating such an awesome tool, and keep up the great work!

Thanks and sorry for the late reply!

i'm currently working on enemies and weapons.

Next up ist a secret Feature i don't want to spoil for now and then i'll start working on a new "sister" engine. Either top down or 3d

Your username shouldn't be the l0bster, it should be the g0at lol

:D

That sounds awesome! We are super excited for the weapons and enemies update, and can't wait to see what the secret feature and sister engine turn out to be!

Do you have a rough timeline or target date in mind for the next release? No pressure at all - just so we can roughly plan ahead for our upcoming workshops.

Also, if you ever need playtesters for early builds, my son and I (and our workshop kids) would be more than happy to test them out and give you feedback!

Thanks again for your great work!

Thx for the offer to help testing!

Enemies are almost done, but i think i will push a bigger update with enemies and weapons together. I'd say in like 1 1/2 - 2 months. Then  around  2 months for the secret feature :)

Regarding new engines i can't really tell because i have to do something completely new, so that will take a while for sure.
