It's really tough for us as devs in this regard. A lot of the messages we get are from people who sometimes just don't have a clue. They can't begin to imagine how much work, hours, and dedication we put into every project.
But I understand, I really do. I've been on the other side before... You only realize how much work it actually takes once you start developing projects yourself.
Even so, I've really enjoy working on this project. It keeps me busy, distracts me a bit from everyday life, and being able to chat and connect with the community like this is really cool. Although, sometimes we have to deal with personal preferences, and taste is a highly subjective thing.
Unfortunately, like you said, we can't please everyone. But I think the key is just doing our best with what we can.
