Wow, fantastic game especially for a first game jam entry! I really enjoyed playing it and managed to destroy the chemicals with a few seconds left. The idea is great and it was a lot of fun building up the ant empire. The art and soundtrack are great, too.
I noticed there are upgrades that increase the ants strength against human attacks. I'm wondering if a human attack would have happened when the timer reached zero or if my colony would have simply died instead.

When we originally planned our game, we had hopes of implementing a combat system against humans but due to scope simplified to just attacking the chemicals. Upgrading strength just allows you to destroy the ant killer faster. Would have loved to implement it though. If you ran out the colony would have died and it would have been game over.
