Nice idea, super easy to pick up and play. There is a feeling of helplessness as shrapnel flies all the way across the screen lol as I beg to click the next bomb. Are there actually more bombs if I buy more, or does it just change the composition? Is that why I should buy the $1 bombs?

It just make the $1 bombs appear more often in the playing area if you buy more of them. So, your second theory is correct, it changes the composition. Though, your thought of buying more bombs to populate the playing area more is interesting. I'll look into it to see if it's good or not. Thanks for the idea!
