I’m playing the web version on a tablet, and it basically works except that selecting the option buttons at the bottom of all the text on every page is extremely finicky. I have to double tap it, but I seem to have to double tap it in a very specific way, so I’m stuck there just like tapping and tapping the same button a bunch and then it’ll sometimes go through to the next option and then shoot right through that option (because I was still tapping a bunch) without me being able to see the intervening screen. A back button would be nice, if nothing else

(sorry for the weird screen, my phone screen is in 1080x2400, which makes the video result a bit scuffed)
first of all, thank you for letting me know of the bug you're experiencing.
I've tried to look into it and test the browser version of the game using my own phone and unfortunately I haven't found the bug that you got on your tablet.
My hypothesis would be that there's some code error/overlap happening. Or, the browser version can be laggy for some device(?) which makes the button unresponsive.
I'll try to fix it the best that I can. But, since I can't find the bug yet, I can't be 100% sure, but I'll keep trying.
If it helps, the title of the story (in your case should be 'freeroam') can be pressed to see the log/history of the passed story.
And may I ask you a question just to clarify. Does this bug only happen to the story choice button, or does it happen to other buttons like the continue button in the menu, or the stats button leading to the stat tab? or just any other button in general?
Oh, good to know about the log, that will help a bit, although it doesn’t help the fact that having to repeatedly click sometimes leads me to click through multiple screens and pick options I didn’t mean to. It appears to be happening randomly with all buttons in the game. It definitely happens when I try to select a save to edit its name or load it. Sorry:\ I know intermittent bugs are the worst, because sometimes I hit a streak of the buttons all working with one or two taps. Counter to the lag theory somewhat, the buttons do look like they’re being pressed every time I press them, so it’s definitely not freezing up entirely.p I’m using a Samsung tablet running android, idk if that’s helpful info
Hmm, those are helpful information, thanks for telling me :D
I got another speculation and that's maybe your pressing action is treated as dragging action, which might results in it reacting, but not doing anything.
I'll try to increase the deadzone between pressing and dragging on the next update and see if the problem is fixed.
Also, have you tried playing in a different browser? I used chrome to play-test the game and it works fine for the moment, both in normal and desktop mode.
