I've had times where my various medical conditions have made me feel like I was going to die and rot in my bed, and this story is the only thing I've seen thus far to truly, truly capture that feeling. to capture the experience of wanting that.
in particular, chron's has a way of making me feel like I'm rotting and being eaten from the inside in a very real, visceral way. it also meant that the hospital scene with its endless barrage of futile feeling testing hit extremely close to real experiences that I'm feeling right now, in this moment in my life.
