This is a usual problem with my jam games - I develop a system but then have no time to come up with meaningfull gameplay. If you guys have some tips on how to avoid that I would appriciate them!

I think this game would benefit a lot from having the names of icons easily visible. It’s hard to tell exactly what each symbol means. But I think Doodle-God games have an inherent challenge in that, it’s hard to make merging that is easy to understand but also deep. Making the merging less guesswork is good, if you can provide challenge in another way. For example, provide the player a easy-to-read-diagram of merges, but give them a time limit per customer.

That actually is a great idea! And it also allows my original mock up of the game to work! You see, I was inspired by thaumcraft(minecraft mod with hexagonal crafting table) when designing this and thus player had to put  hexes in correct spots to merge, but I realized I had no time for it and it would be impossible to guess, so I simplified it a lot. Maybe I will do post jam update later (no guarantees)
