WOW, the writing was simply immaculate! The prose was beautifully composed, and I really liked all of the characterization - including the side characters - too. The entire game was extremely stylish, from the beautiful GUI to the black and white backgrounds to the usage of silhouettes and stylized ATL.
I found the worldbuilding quite fascinating, and I would have loved to see more of this world, with its mixture of the 1920s American setting/aesthetic and European folklore (with fae, selkies, and so on). The dynamic between Syl - with his sheltered, noble upbringing - and Melusine - who seems much more world-weary given the bad experiences her kind have had - was really interesting, and I also loved how they played off the MC as well.
Minor spoilers
The thing I actually liked the most about the story was the MC's progression - their relationship with Jock and co. was actually fairly wholesome (and I was shocked when Jock even came searching for the MC!), all things considered, but the subtle ways in which the MC didn't belong/felt pushed around (like how Ginny and Fred ordered the MC around; how Jock continuously dismissed the MC's opinions; etc.) effectively conveyed how the MC never really felt "at home" with them. The fact that the MC falls in with two sea creatures with vastly different cultures and sensibilities and finds a home with Syl and/or Melusine is a touching and satisfying arc for them.Overall this was a really enchanting experience - fantastic work to everyone who worked on it!
